In order to deeply implement the Special Equipment Safety Law, improve the professional theoretical knowledge and practical operation level of forklift drivers (crane loading and unloading machinery operators), enhance accident prevention capabilities, and promote the safe use of special equipment, in accordance with the Notice on Holding the First Nantong Forklift Driver (Crane Loading and Unloading Machinery Operators) Vocational Skills Competition (Tongzhi Technical Supervision [2017] No. 68) issued by the Nantong Quality Supervision Bureau, The first forklift driver (crane loading and unloading machinery operator) professional skills competition in Qidong City has been held throughout the city. The first forklift driver (crane loading and unloading machinery operation) professional skills competition in Qidong lasted for nearly two months. Dozens of large-scale enterprises in Qidong participated, with about 200 contestants registering. The contestants were selected through theoretical exams and preliminary rounds of the competition, and a total of 52 contestants reached the final finals.
On August 16th, the long-awaited and intense final stage of the forklift driver skills competition kicked off at COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. in the coastal shipbuilding industrial park. The final stage is organized and implemented by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, led by leaders from the Municipal Management Bureau, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Federation of Trade Unions. The Bureau's Supervision Office and Special Section participate in a tour of each examination venue.
Our company employee Chen Jie passed multiple screening tests and successfully entered today's final. In addition to the high difficulty of the project, the final stage attaches great importance to enhancing the overall quality and adaptability of employees. During the competition, the referee conducted a comprehensive and strict assessment of the contestants' operational safety, making the competition more fair and just. The final stage went through nearly 5 hours of intense competition. The total score of the two month forklift skills competition consists of two parts. The final stage held today accounted for 70% of the total score. Total score=preliminary score (30%)+final score (70%). According to the ranking, the city will provide bonuses and honor incentives.
With the holding of the forklift driver skills competition, the basic skills and level of technical employees have been consolidated, and the learning ability, good physical fitness, psychological fitness, and adaptability of employees have been improved. At the same time, we have also seen numerous excellent forklift drivers, effectively promoting the overall improvement of forklift driving skills in the region.
